Introduction to Tornado

May 28, 2017, 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Want to get started with asynchronous programming using a great web framework? Come and learn the basics of asynchronous parallelism and scalable web servers in this tutorial.

You will build a simple web application that makes parallel backend requests while staying highly responsive, thus learning to make efficient use of both the client-side and server-side of Tornado.

The examples will use Python 3.6 but are equally valid in Python 2.7.

There is also a Tornado related talk by Jordi Soucheiron on Saturday.
